Maruyama craftsmen follow the development and growth of the green tea leaves very closely, day by day, to ensure they are harvested at the best moment. The fresh leave are then steam roasted to avoid oxidation... and to reveal the strength of their taste. This matcha tea is the tea used for the celebrated tea ceremony and its rituals. This tea, presented as a natural plant green powder (only the best looking green tea leaves are selected), is only used for drinking. Correctly dosed, it is recommended to make it froth by diluting it and then whisking it with a specifically designed bamboo whisk. The result: a creamy tea, with a strong tannin, fresh, earthy and very surprising accent.
