
Yamasei whole, cooked and sweetened red beans are exclusively elaborated with Hokkaido island Azuki beans. They come from farms practicing a 'reasoned' farming method where the use of chemical fertilizers is reduced by half.
The cooking process is so well controlled and the beans so tender that it's difficult to make out the skin from the flesh. They are perfect to accompany western or Japanese desserts, ice creams, cakes and other pastries…even some meat!
These beans are slightly sweetenEd but in no way soaked in syrup as is unfortunately too often the case with a number of products available on the market today.
