Izuri oborokombu seaweed only comes from Hokkaido island and is hand scraped in the most traditional of ways. It is deliciously seasoned with vinegar and has no additives nor preservative of any sort whatsoever.
It is delicious once wrapped around a rice ball ( onigiri ) or a sashimi ( a thin slice of raw fish) or added to a soup or stock. Don't be afraid of sprinkling it over a good dish of pasta, the result is surprising.
However we suggest you chop it finely and add it to veal or beef tartare (marinate like this for 30 min to 1 hour ). A unique experience!
